Yannic Farnung is studying sport science in the bachelor degree course at the Humboldt University of Berlin. He has been employed as a student assistant in the department Training- and Movement Sciences since January 2018. Before taking up his studies, he has been working as a male nurse.

In his spare time he is an active handball player.
